Seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time position as a research assistant who will contribute to the coordination of behavioral and imaging studies in a variety of clinical populations, including adolescents and young adults, to be carried out in the NYC metropolitan area. The position involves responsibilities in data management and analysis and requires programming knowledge. Salary will be commensurate on experience and skill set.
The research assistant will be responsible for carrying out imaging procedures and behavioral tasks, and will carry out some data management, processing, and analysis. They will be responsible for collecting, entering, and organizing various types of data using both paper-based and computer-based tools. The RA will need to have superb interpersonal skills as this job requires frequent interaction with participants and patients with psychiatric disorders. It is highly preferred that the candidate will have a background in collecting and analyzing physiological data (e.g., EEG, MRI, etc.).
Must have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent 4-year college certification) in psychology, neuroscience, or another related subject area. Strong programming skills required. Must be proficient in Matlab and familiar with Linux or similar environments.
